Meet Samantha.....or Lulu.....if you have seen her from day one. In the studio, she is the beautiful baby in black and white with the pink butterfly on her back. Well, that was almost 3 years ago. Look at her now! Still has LOTS of hair and is good with the camera! Sam~you crack me up! Thanks for letting me watch you grow!

When Walls Fall Down

I was approached by Jon Rottink, who is a youth director in Marshalltown at the First Presbyterian Church. He shared with me that he had written and recorded a song to be performed at the Memorial Service on May 25th in Parkersburg. He asked if I would be interested in designing the cover for the single. The name of the song is "When Walls Fall Down" and I think you should hear it! You can listen to his song at www.myspace.com/jonrottinkmusic. Proceeds from the CD sells are going to the community of Parkersburg! Thank you Jon!

My Creation of Hope

Meet the NEW PARKERSBURG CITY PARK! These were just a few of the quick snaps I got just before it started to rain! Seeing the kid's faces as they play was truly an inspirational experience for me. My son, Kolbe, keeps asking me "Can we drive by the park today Mommy?" He asks me this consistently everyday. And we have driven by it everyday since day one. I love now that I can say "We aren't driving by honey......we're stopping to play!"

What an emotional day today has been! This is just a lead into what this weekend will bring. This weekend will mark the one year anniversary of Parkersburg's tornado. As you remember, I created a collage and sold them as a fundraiser to rebuild the City Park. My creation raised $11,500 then.......now I have that opportunity again. I have been asked to create a new collage to show hope and where we are at now in our community. I had to wait until today to create this collage because I wanted to be sure to get a picture of children playing on our NEW playground equipment!!! With only the mulch left to be put into place, the equipment was up and ready! So I jumped at the opportunity! The collages will be for sale again this weekend downtown. If you have a chance, stop by Main Street Saturday, May 23rd. Not only to see me, but to see how far Parkersburg has come! You will be amazed........what a strong community......here is my creation........

You saw Kenley when she was new and now she is 4 months old!!! Time sure does fly by us....all the more reason photographs are so special. This little girl is so beautiful. I love all her hair! Even big brother had to sneak in one picture. How can you not smile when you see that cute 'lil face and bright eyes?!

Giggles and Grins

Yes, I know I missed last week......sorry. I have been tied up with changing things up around here! The studio has gotten a whole new look, new products to sell (some still in the making), and new props (one rather large one!). In the middle of all that I still am spending time with my family and customers. If only we could just snap our fingers and it would be done!! So many ideas require more time to make it all complete. You will see it when it's ALL complete and ready!

Meet Sidney......can we say "LOVES THE CAMERA"??? She was just being herself and allowing me to capture those moments. That is what I love about what I do! This little girl is always this way for pictures. Too bad it wasn't the nicest day that day, but we still made the best of it and got some cute outdoor pictures as well!!!
